Emergency Repairs

When water is going where it should not, you need a licensed plumber on the way, not a voicemail.

A plumbing emergency rarely waits for business hours. A burst supply line, a failed water heater or a sewer backup can do real damage in the time it takes to find a plumber. ACAP Plumbing prioritises emergency calls across Greater Victoria and tells you honestly, on the phone, what to do first.

What to do before we arrive

  • Shut off the water at the main valve, usually where the supply enters the house, or at the fixture valve if the problem is isolated.
  • If water is near electrical outlets or the panel, switch off the affected breaker before stepping into it.
  • Turn off the water heater if it is leaking or has run dry.
  • Move what you can out of the water and start ventilating the space.

What we do on arrival

We find the source, stop the water, and give you a clear quote for the permanent repair before we start it. If a temporary fix gets you through the night safely, we will say so and schedule the full repair at a sensible time. Every repair is done by a licensed plumber to the BC Plumbing Code.
